Getting to Wilmington

Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is served by Delta, US Airways, American Airlines/American Eagle and Allegiant. The airport is just over 4 miles from the Hilton Wilmington Riverside. A hotel courtesy bus runs between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Taxi fare is around $15.00.

From the airport, head northeast on Airport Boulevard, turn left on N 23rd Street. Turn right to merge onto US 74-W (Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway). Continue north onto N 3rd Street, turn right onto Walnut Street and left onto N. Water Street. The hotel is on your right.

 

Driving directions:

If you are driving up or down the coastal states on I-95, connect to I-40, which enters Wilmington from the north. Both I-40 and I-20 come into North Carolina from the west. I-20 connects to I-95 at Florence, SC. Several other Interstates eventually connect with either I-40 or I-95. As you enter Wilmington on I-40, continue onto US 117, then turn right onto US-74W (Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway), htne to N 3rd Street, right onto Walnut Street and left onto N. Water Street.

Getting Around Wilmington

The Wilmington area is served by Wave Transit, the Cape Fear Public Transit Authority 910-343-0106. Wave Transit offers fixed bus routes, shuttles, and a free downtown trolley. There is a trolley stop right outside the Hilton. Bus fare, aside from the free trolley, is $1.50 for adults. Unfortunately, Wave Transit does not offer transportation to the area beaches.
